Being able to drive down the road and take a quick peak in your rearview mirror and see baby is awesome! You can tell if they are napping or doing something they shouldn’t be. Plus, they can see you and it helps to calm them down if they get upset. The one I’m linking has awesome reviews!
When your little one is congested you will do just about anything to make them feel better. Including using your mouth to suck the mucus straight out of their nose. While it sounds disgusting, I like to think of it as disgustingly satisfying because you can see all that nasty stuff exiting their little nose. Plus you can wash it super easily. Don’t forget the extra filters!
Whether you want to or not you are more than likely going to be spending some time in the car with baby. The last thing you want is the sun to be shining directly in their eye. If you have tinted windows or an suv/van you probably won’t need these, but if you don’t, they are a must! I still drive a car with my one baby and these are a definite must! After stopping multiple times to hang blankets in my windows I knew I had to get them!
We have this Summer Infant bib that is so easy to clean. Just toss in some warm soapy water and give it a rinse. I have found this bib to be a million times better than the traditional bibs that stain and you are constantly throwing in the washing machine. Plus you only have to have one! I just wash and hang on a little hook I attached to the back of the high chair. The pocket is nice because it helps to catch some of the food baby drops as well.
I have found that cleaning sippy cups is a huge pain. Oh, and storing them! Don’t get me started. These little Take and Toss cups are so easy to clean (only two pieces), don’t leak and can stack together to take up minimal storage space. An added bonus is that they are so so cheap!! So if you lose one, or it gets a bit smelly when hidden under a carseat for a few days, it’s not a big deal to just toss it out.
We live in Kansas and this past week temperatures have been in the high 90’s which means the inside of my car gets crazy hot. I drive a car and since Jackson is still rear facing he doesn’t have any air conditioning blowing on him. Because of this he tends to get really sweaty in his car seat. A month ago I bought this fan and have noticed a huge difference in how cool he now stays in the car. It clips to the back seat headrest and helps blow the cool air from the front seat directly towards him. He has been much cooler which makes me feel a lot better as well.
It’s amazing how fast baby fingernails grow! You will definitely want to have a good pair of tiny nail clippers on hand so you can keep your little ones nails trimmed.
There is nothing worse than when you’re baby is sick. You will do anything you can to make them feel better and make sure you are being proactive if they don’t seem to get better on their own. This is not the exact thermometer we have (ours was over $20) but this one has some awesome reviews on Amazon. I love that you can use it on your babies forehead as well as in their ear and it only takes 1 second to get a reading. Having a good thermometer will help give you piece of mind when you need it most.
