How did I decide to throw a Lumberjack 1st Birthday Bash you ask? I think Jackson was about 3 months old when I started perusing Pinterest for the perfect 1st birthday party theme. Seth laughed at me and told me to plan his 18th while I was at it. I know myself though and I knew if I didn’t start early I would majorly stress out later on.
I spent a few months doing “research” until one day we were outside and Seth said something that made me think of lumberjacks and that’s when it hit me! Our kids name is JACKson and he loves pancakes. What’s better than a lumberJACK brunch with flapJACKS? Nothing I tell you!
Without further ado, enjoy a recap of our little LumberJacks special 1st Birthday.
The majority of this party is using things I crafted or found cheaply. The large buffalo check “1” is actually a piñata I found at a garage sale for $1 and covered in fabric from Hobby Lobby. The fringe banner with the ax on it was made using scrap burlap and thrifted material. The sliced wood cake stands were borrowed from my cousin. I already had the large “J” as well as the lantern. The buffalo check table covering on the food table is actually a roll of wrapping paper I found at Michaels for $1.50. It amazes me how much can be done to create an amazingly cute party on a small budget.
